FLORIDA GOP THANKS CONGRESSMAN DANIEL WEBSTER FOR DECADES OF CONSERVATIVE LEADERSHIP

The Republican Party of Florida today thanked Congressman Daniel Webster for his decades of principled conservative service to Florida following his retirement announcement.

A pioneer of Florida’s Republican movement, Webster helped flip the Florida House and became the first Republican Speaker in 122 years, leading bold reforms that expanded freedom, strengthened accountability, and protected private property rights. In Congress, he remained a steady, conservative voice for limited government, fiscal responsibility, and Florida families.

Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power issued the following statement:

“Thank you to Congressman Daniel Webster for a lifetime of service to Florida. From leading in the Florida Legislature to serving in Congress, his commitment to faith, family, and principled leadership has left a lasting impact on our state.

“Daniel Webster is a conservative trailblazer who helped build the Republican majority in Florida and change the direction of our state. As Speaker, he delivered real reform, and in Congress, he never wavered in his commitment to limited government and putting Floridians first.

“We thank him for his decades of leadership and wish him and his family all the best in retirement.”
